Horizontal Form Fill Seal. Horizontal execution.

Horizontal machines are known as HFFS, an acronym that stands for Horizontal Form Fill & Seal, which means that, starting from a reel of flexible packaging, the machine forms the pouches, fills them, and seals them at the top, with the pouch traveling horizontally across stations.

Each station is designed for a specific purpose and is independently adjusted without affecting the settings and performance of the other stations.

The sealing stations are separated from the filling area and there is no interference between these two stations.

Horizontal FFS machines are distinguished by the quality of pouches manufactured, the air-tight seals, and the excellent finish of all surfaces.

Vertical Multi-Lane

Vertical Multi-Lane. Faster is better.

In multi-lane machine technology, the sachets are produced using two layers of film, welding them vertically while they are being transported. Product is directly filled into the pouch while the machine simultaneously seals horizontally.

The multi-lane technology allows the production of several bags per cycle, therefore having a high production rate. This makes it the ideal equipment for the pharmaceutical sector.

Stick Pack Machines. The narrow solution.

The operation of stick pack machines is very similar to that of the vertical form fill seal packaging machines: a roll of film is cut and formed into multiple stick packs, the bags are filled with the product and then sealed, all in a vertical position, at speeds of up to 80 bags per minute per lane.

Stick packs machines form the sachet from a single sheet of film which they cut and roll into a tube shape before filling and sealing. This gives the stick packs their characteristic elongated shape.

Complete Line

Complete lines. Don’t forget the finishing!

Two main operations are important in secondary packaging. The handling and grouping of the primary product, and the cartoning operation itself.

Handling flexible pouches is a science requiring a lot of experience and accumulated know-how to manage the different behaviors due to specific pouch characteristics.

The cartoning machine erects carton boxes from pre-glued and folded cartons, introduces the product inside, and closes the carton with tuck-in flaps, glue, or a combination of both.
